Cero39 + Kuenta i Tambu + KIOKO

Movimientos presents a huge line up featuring two international festival conquering acts and one of the UK’s most exciting new bands for a night of tropical rhythms inspired by the rich music of the Caribbean!

Cero39
Caribbean electronica twist!

Described as “one of the most engaging acts on the tropical alternative circuit” Cero39’s productions meld influences from Latin pop culture, Indie Reggaeton, Hip Hop and Dembow along with the flavour of ‘everyday Caribbean life’. Widely regarded as one of Colombia’s best contemporary producers, Cero 39 have remixed some of Latin America’s most respected artists and have an impressive list of festival appearances to their name, including Estereo Picnic and Glastonbury.

Kuenta i Tambu
A wild and colourful explosion of energy and caribbean beats

Kuenta i Tambu, have transformed the old tambu music of Curacao into the 21st-century phenomenon of Tambutronic, through hard kicks and hooky synths. Taking up the sounds that evolved in Dutch clubs and mashing them effortlessly with the group's percussive, evocative Caribbean roots, they prove how easily traditional grooves can move in new, unexpected ways.

Rolling Stone: "Sounds like: A super-crunk, blacklight warehouse party surrounded by four separate Carnival parades."

KIOKO
Socially charged soulful reggae/pop

As well as being solid in the studio KIOKO pride themselves on giving a high standard of lively and memorable shows with high adrenalin and energetic performances set to win over audiences old and new. They quickly defined themselves as one to watch with music reminiscent of reggae greats - their powerful hooks and melodies are filled with well received sociological and political relevant messages, disguised by sharp songwriting sensibilities and heavy cultural musical influences. An intriguing sound guaranteed to get your mind thinking and head bopping.
