Chico Trujillo

The sensational Chico Trujillo - one of Chile’s most legendary groups, famed for their incendiary and party-rocking live show, join us for their debut show at the Jazz Cafe.

The group began as a branch of the punk / ska band La Floripondio in 1999 in Valparaiso. Twelve years and five albums later, they have come to symbolize a unique cocktail that has its roots in the cumbia of pre-Pinochet days and has managed to incorporate all aspects of Chilean popular culture.

The band have been able to mix pieces of the past with the global influence of the alternative culture and have fused everything under the Pan American flag of cumbia.

After last year's sellout show, don't miss your chance to see one of the world's finest Cumbia bands in this intimate setting!
