Movimientos is proud to present a night of pure Cuban party music from one of the most exciting new Cuban-London bands Wara, plus Orquestra Bombo, a brand new 30-piece Cuban carnival band featuring percussion, horns and vocals that capturing the authentic sounds of Havana. PLUS an exclusive acoustic solo set from Wara lead Juanita Euka.
After the release of their "Flesh and Bone" EP last year and a series of blinding shows, Wara are heating up the stage like never before - securing their reputation as a band whose musical talent, energy and originality will shock you, rock you, keep you dancing till the end and leave you wanting more more more. With contagious, in-your-face vocals from Congolese-Argentinean lead Juanita Euka, inspired keyboard flourishes from MD Eliane Correa, MC Murmur quick on the UK hip hop and a super tight Latin/UK mix on the rhythm section, they combine a lyrically conscious approach with exceptional musicianship.
Orquestra Bombo are a new massive entourage, a 30-piece band with members from all over the world; their vibes spread like wild fire as they effortlessly bring Havana to London through their stunning performances and classic style. Juanita Euka, niece of legendary Congolese musician Franco, brings us soulful Spanish ballads and African rhythms with unique flair and honesty.

Movimientos presents another full powered Friday night taking you on a musical trip through Latin America and the Caribbean with an afro-centric twist. Mama Afrika fly in from Italy with their upbeat blend of Cumbia, Rumba and skanking Reggae, London Peruvian’s Manzana Tropical Manzana Tropical bring their bouncy Peruvian Chicha music and Gypsy Box will be blasting latin and electronica infused Bulkan beats until the am.
Muévete! is back for another session at Notting Hill Arts Club. DJ Cal Jader is joined by special guests to bring you a night of heavy Latin and tropical vibes.
Following on from our carnival special in February we’re zoning in on Colombia again with touch of carnival spirit from Caribbean coast with the presence of two international guests Geko Jones from the highly influential NYC based future Latin - global bass clubnight Que Bajo and label boss of the Bogota based Galletas Calientes record label fresh from their huge Palenque Remixed EP.
