Esteban Card ‘INELEMENTUM’ Album Launch

Movimientos are delighted to present the launch of Esteban Card’s debut studio album, INELEMENTUM, channeling ancient diasporadic sentiments and traditions from Colombia with a contemporary approach.

One of the rising stars of London’s alternative Latin scene, Esteban Card presents a fresh twist on traditional Colombian music, melding its ancestral drumming with cutting-edge production influenced by his vibrant London environment, weaving together elements of Afro-Colombian Bullerengue and Cumbia, Afrobeat, Reggae, Experimental and Indie in a trance-inducing thought-provoking soundscape. His debut live show at Hootannany Brixton last year put him on the radar with his 8 piece band displaying the traditional Colombian drums and a powerful sound guaranteed to shake your fibres. Supported by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Esteban Card is going from strength to strength - this is just the beginning…

With traditional dance from Somos Chibchas, visuals from Colombian artist?Vane MG, special guest Holly Holden and DJs all night long this is set to be a great night in celebration of independent contemporary Latin arts in London.
