Brixton’s award winning live music venue welcomes us back for a block rocking night of bold live music from three magic bands: KALAKUTA MILLIONAIRES – a heavyweight Afro-Latin Funk and Soul ensemble; the VOODOO LOVE ORCHESTRA - who bring brass band carnival music from New Orleans to Nigeria, from Colombia to Jamaica; and MARACATU ESTRELA DO NORTE with their explosive Afro-Brazilian Carnival drums.

DJs include Andres Digital - always searching for that perfect crossover between Cumbia and Bass, plus residents Cal Jader and Arias Movimientos DJs with their Latin, Dancehall & Tropical Bass…

With a blistering 5-piece horn section, jazz-funk guitar seamlessly merges into highlife, soaring harmonies give a fresh funk-soul twist to the traditional Latino and African rhythms. “Perfect,” says Mark Lamarr, BBC. Voodoo Love Orchestra have us swaying to the big band sound of 1960s Latin America and Africa with infectious, maverick and irresistibly swinging street music.
