Muévete!

We’re back at Notting Hill Arts Club to bring you a night of serious Latin and tropical vibes. This month we’ve got top selecta Spiritual South. The man with the deepest crates around, will have you jumping until the small hours.

Spiritual South
Specialising in music from Brazil, Latin-America & Africa.
Formed in 1999, Spiritual South is the brainchild of Mark Robertson, a DJ, Music Producer and ‘mad about music’ collector. Exposed to a hybrid of music which blurred boundaries between Afro-American music and the rhythms, melodies, and arrangements of Latin America and Africa; Spiritual South has continued to champion music from the hot zones whether it be behind the decks or in the studio - his ethos “creating, exposing and celebrating tropical dance music with musically like-minded, the world over”. As well as his own top releases, Spiritual South has also remixed for every top label around.

Spiritual South guarantees to deliver infectious tropical sounds and rhythms, aimed squarely at the hips, feet and dancefloor. Watch the ride!

PURE TROPICAL PARTY VIBES!! A favourite for Saturday night crowds in West London, Muévete is a monthly fiesta - a pure party version of Movimientos, with a dance floor-slammin' mash up of raw Latin beats and tropical bass. From the rolling Latin rhythms of salsa, cumbia, merengue and Samba to the raw urban flavours of reggaeton, Hip Hop, dancehall, moombahton, baile funk and dutty carnival rhythms, incorporating a healthy dose of African beats and global underground music.

Put simply Muévete translates as 'Move it!' so we're not messing around - straight to the dancefloor!

Perotá Chingó

Argentinian band Perotá Chingó is a project in constant transformation that today embarks on a new musical and conceptual chapter. Now the band is extending the boundaries of its acoustic style, interweaving folklore, the ancestral evocation of voices and the technological power of electronic beats. Having been touring the world for the best part of the last decade, they now bring their full live show to London’s Rich Mix for their UK debut.
