WHO

The Fontanas deliver an upbeat live ­set that gets audiences bouncing around like carnival come early. Positive and totally feel good! Their sound consists of Brazilian funk and jump up Latin ska. The band is comprised of hand picked musicians who have played alongside the likes of Incognito and Alice Russell, specialists at whipping the crowd in to a funky latin frenzy.

The Fontanas have been trail blazing across the festival landscape in the last few years including at Glastonbury, Bestival, The Secret Garden Party, Kelburn Garden Party, Lovebox, Tropical Pressure, Barbican Festival, Edinburgh Festival, BT and London Live Victoria Park as well as venues such as Ronnie Scotts, Rich Mix and The Vaults Waterloo.

A favourite for Saturday night crowds in West London, Muévete is a monthly fiesta - a pure party version of Movimientos, with a dance floor-slammin' mash up of raw Latin beats and tropical bass. BaianaSystem is one of Brazil’s biggest and baddest live acts. Coming straight out of Bahia, the group not only amplify sound, but also the essence of local traditions. Influenced by Jamaican sound systems, huge percussive bass lines merge with Afro-Latin rhythms such as Frevo, Samba-Reggae, Pagode, Groove Arrastado, Ijexá, Kuduro and Reggae to create a truly unique sound. Inseparable from their music, the band’s distinctive visuals add a further dimension to their live shows.
