Muévete! @ Notting Hill Arts Club

Muévete invites another international guest and top tropical selector DJ Larry SKG from the Greek Carnibal Records crew alongside host Cal Jader (Movimientos) for the monthly fiesta of uptempo Latino-Caribbean-Tropical soundclash vibes where classic rhythms get bastardised and twisted up for the modern dancefloor.

DJ Larry SKG

Larry Skg is a London based international dj and producer from Thessaloniki, Greece.

Influenced from the roots of early reggae and tropical music, he started remixing and re-editing tunes back in 2013. In 2014 he released “Hypocrites” on the Dirty Dubsters “Ragga Party Jams” series, getting strong support within the Funky-Reggae/Ragga community. It was followed by releases for Funk Fusion Records (a dj edit of Snowboy's classic Latin gem “I've Got To Learn To Mambo”) and two Tropical/Nu-Brazilian tracks for the mighty Carnibal Records. He's just co-founded the electronic AfroTropicalismo record label Shango Records and got his first single on the pipeline, due to be released in early May, while he's working on his first album featuring numerous MC's and musicians so 2015 is set to be a big year for him. Get ready for a special set showcasing his Tropical Bass, Moombahton and Dancehall vibes!

PURE TROPICAL PARTY VIBES!! A favourite for Saturday night crowds in West London, Muévete is a monthly fiesta - a pure party version of Movimientos, with a dance floor-slammin' mash up of raw Latin beats and tropical bass. From the rolling Latin rhythms of salsa, cumbia, merengue and Samba to the raw urban flavours of reggaeton, Hip Hop, dancehall, moombahton, baile funk and dutty carnival rhythms, incorporating a healthy dose of African beats and global underground music.

Put simply Muévete translates as 'Move it!' so we're not messing around - straight to the dancefloor!
