Esperando el Tsunami?
After months of hard work and collaboration, upcoming independent filmmaker Vincent Moon and TransFolk duo Lulacruza have unveiled their latest creation, ESPERANDO EL TSUNAMI. A traveling visual album that lies in between music and cinema, Esperando el Tsunami (translated: Waiting for the Tsunami) is a quest for the sounds and people of present-day Colombia, in a continuous improvisation by the filmmaker and musicians as they composed and created on the road.

"Vincent Moon is back with what he calls his best film ever. We are not reluctant to agree with him....an intoxicating picture and sound piece disguised as a road movie. Lulacruza travel across Colombia to take the country's musical nectar and transform it into their almost shamanic trance sessions, Moon follows closely with his sensuous-seeking camera and responsive musicianship. A magical-realism love story of the most beautiful kind."

-Official Selection for the CPH:DOX Festival in Copenhagen, Denmark
A documentary film and "visual album" Esperando el Tsunami is a collaborative project from Vincent Moon - who the New York Times recently referred to as the "prodigious French filmmaker who reinvented the music video" - and Lulacruza. Created on the road while traveling across Colombia for 2 months, the film follows Lulacruza as they meet and improvise with traditional and indigenous musicians throughout the region.
