King Lagoon's Flying Swordfish Dance Band

WHO King Lagoon's Flying Swordfish Dance Band are a Brighton-based mind expanding live music experience. They boast a psychedelic Afro-Latin inspired sound, a smell technician who conjures up aromas throughout the show and some mighty fine costumes, making them a true carnival for the senses. Musically incorporating influences from Highlife, Chicha, West-African 70s, Maracatu, Toureg music, Samba Batucada, Neu, Cuban styles, Yma sumac, Congotronics, Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou and more... This band knows how to start a party and keep it going beyond the realms of the stage.?

WHERE Recent shows include Bestival (Polka and Club Dada tent), Secret Garden Party (Rhumba Rum Bar), Glasgow SWG3 and Eden Festival (main stage). King Lagoon's have also blasted a range of London venues, including Passing Clouds and Rich Mix.

"King Lagoon's Flying Swordfish Dance Band are very special indeed - one of the most outlandish, insane and simply brilliant acts we've ever had the pleasure of booking. Their live show is a full assault on all the senses, fusing video, extravagant costumes, audience participation and just amazing musicianship - any band that has a 'smell technician' is alright by us. Book them. "
