DJ Cal Jader is one of the founders of Movimientos London and champion of new wave Latin music. His sets bring people together with the freshest Latin and global sounds, combining classic rhythms with contemporary cutting-edge and urban beats. He’s burning up dance floors with a London twist and an unparalleled ear for the best and rarest.
Where he’s played: Cal Jader DJs across London and the UK festival circuit (Bestival, The Big Chill). He has played around the world from Istanbul to Llubjana (Slovenia), Copenhagen (Denmark) and Mexico City amongst others. He’s Djed at shows for Manu Chao & Radio Bemba, Ska Cubano (Koko), Chocquibtown (Electric Ballroom/Jazz Cafe), Los De Abajo (Ollin Kan Festival, Mexico City), Novalima (Cargo) and Peret (Barbican).
Cal has compiled several CDs of homegrown global and Latin music for London's Camino Bar and the Global Local project and he recently compiled the Beginner's Guide to Latin America and the New Sound of Cuba for Nascente Records. He’s also playing resident nights in London at Rich Mix, Notting Hill Arts Club, Favela Chic, Passing Clouds and Hootananny.

This month hosted by close cohort of the Movimientos family Alx Alfaro top Latin DJ, producer and musician from the North East - who runs Newcastle's most successful international Latin night, Musica Mundo. Plus special guest on the night welcoming up and coming London-based global dance producer Subculture Sounds.
