THE FONTANAS ALBUM LAUNCH PARTY

To coincide with the release of their debut album The Fontanas join forces with Movimientos and special guests to present a special launch party with a headline live show of their own ready to whip up the crowd into a carnival frenzy with their funky brand of festival friendly party vibes.



THE FONTANAS:

Positive and 100% feelgood their sounds consist of Brazilian funk and jump up Latin, ska and soul and the band is comprised of hand picked musicians who have played alongside the likes of Incognito and Alice Russell ?are specialists at whipping the crowd in to a funky latin frenzy. The Fontanas have been trail blazing across the festival scene with recent appearances at Bestival, Glastonbury, The Secret Garden Party, Boomtown, Edinburgh Festival, BT London Live Victoria Park & Ronnie Scotts.

CABLE STREET COLLECTIVE

Big band stomping African, Reggae and Latin influences tied together with the South African Kwela spirit!
Combining African, Reggae and Blues influences with conscious lyrics, an ear for a catchy tune and an addictive beat, Cable Street Collective make happy tropical tunes that'll keep you frolicking through the night.
Formed at the same London open mic night that produced Denai Moore, their music mixes African influences (two of the group grew up in Swaziland and Malawi) with UK funky house and a whole host of other sounds from in and around their home bases in East London and Brixton.

One of London’s finest Latin groups, Conjunto Sabroso will be in the building with their hard-hitting brass, grooving percussion and incredible stage presence. We also welcome The Indios, with their Indie-Tropical blend of old and new, who will be sure to get the party started. And special guest from Bogota Colombia Jimena Angel with her sweet Electro-Acoustic Afro-Caribbean influenced vibes. Plus of course, Movimientos’ very own ‘dancehall caballero’ DJ Cal Jader will be keeping things moving before and after with his signature blend of Tropical beats.
