For the final Movimientos session of 2014 at Hootananny we bring another quality line up of delights from the global Latin underground with two favourites from the Movimientos stables for a night of fat Latin rhythms twisted up with Flamenco, Reggae and the usual tropical madness!

London based Spanish act Jardares Por Fuera return to the Hootananny 4 years after their debut for a rare London show with their riotous blend of Rumba Flamenco and Latin rhythms with a rock n roll attitude and some seriously skilled musicianship. Their Latin American cousins Lokandes take the melodies and energy of Andean music and mix it with Rumba, Reggae and Afro-Latin rhythms have supported and collaborated with some of the finest acts from Latin America. And Papa Tigre bring a rough and raw roots-rock Americana/Latino stew. Whilst on the decks DJ Madmax?drops a spicy tropical selection of a Cumbia, Dancehall, Latin funk, Salsa, Moombahton, Brazilian beats and global-Afro-bass.

JARDARES POR FUERA
Rock 'n' Roll Rumba, Flamenco with Hip Hop, Reggae and Swing
Jardares Por Fuera are fiercely pushing the sound of Flamenco beyond the expected, creating bold new sounds and blistering live performances. They play an unconventional blend of Rumba-Flamenco enriched with Reggae, Swing and Hip Hop. Expect scintillating guitar-led melodies and Flamenco rhythms complemented by accordion, big basslines, high-energy cajon and deep female vocals.

LOKANDES
Sweet Afro-Latin Rhythms with Reggae, Cumbia and conscious vibes
Having supported the likes of legendary South American acts Kjarkas (Bolivia) and Susan Baca (Peru) (the latter whom gave a glowing review of the band's performance) and following a recent collaboration with Juana Fe's Juan Ayala (Chile) Lokandes continue to make their mark as one of the truly exceptional live acts emerging from the Latin community in London. Taking the melodies and energy of Andean music and mixing it with Rumba, Reggae and Afro-Latin rhythms. The band unites musicians and instruments from Peru, Bolivia, Spain, China and the UK, and sets their highly original music, alongside socially conscious lyrics and a super tight rhythm section. Having released their first album two years ago they are currently working on the follow up due out in 2015.

A rough and raw roots-rock Americana/latino stew. Brutal vocals, soaring guitar, hard funk bass, cajon . . . and beautiful melody - music that hits hard.
