Le Pico

Le Pico

A mixture of styles and genres, from the most exquisite Chill Out to Disco and Deep House that will easily guide you to the surrounding vibe of Brazilian Beats and Broken Beats, LE PICÓ is a creative container that holds a collection of sounds which recreate a multicultural life
Le Picó is a name that withholds an open interpretation; it could derivate from the Spanish mix of Words for the vinyl player, a reference to a mosquito sting or maybe a nickname given by a lovely grandmother to the creator of this entire project. However you want to see it, the essence of Le Picó is a free creative spirit just like the man behind the concept, who grew up in a completely musical environment, and launched himself to the production world over 10 years ago.

Hands Off Venezuela

Hands Off Venezuela is a political lobby group based in the United Kingdom and with branches in many other countries. The campaign was established in December 2002, following the Venezuelan coup attempt of 2002, with the aim of increasing public and political awareness in the UK and elsewhere of the Chávez government's social and political reforms and to counter US funded propaganda campaign against Venezuelan people and the Bolivarian Socialist Revolution

70 min
Spanish, with English subtitles
Director: Marcelo Andrade
Calle y Media collective

The Old Man And Jesus: Prophets Of Rebellion examines the the lives of two men who live on the streets of Caracas in the middle of a fascist offensive that tries to halt the revolutionary process taking place in Venezuela and fueled with the arrival of Hugo Chavez to the presidency. The wise poetry of the Old Man and the explosive verb of Jesus give a direct account of the commitment to liberation that grows from the Venezuelan people, far beyond the influence of leaders or enlightened vanguards.
