Le Picó is a name that withholds an open interpretation; it could derivate from the Spanish mix of Words for the vinyl player, a reference to a mosquito sting or maybe a nickname given by a lovely grandmother to the creator of this entire project. However you want to see it, the essence of Le Picó is a free creative spirit just like the man behind the concept, who grew up in a completely musical environment, and launched himself to the production world over 10 years ago.
The creative roots of this exquisite project have been able to reach many musicians and similar projects around the world, allowing it to be part of many important international compilation albums such as: “A Vida Rara” included on the compilation “Dance Venezuela” (Gozadera Records), “All Around” featured on the “Chill Out Venezuela” compilation by Gozadera Records; and “Supernova” as featured on “Touch Tone Music Compilation Vol.2”, released by Tummy Touch Records and more recently on the album Soul Sauce by Revive The Soul Records.
The album features collaborations on vocals by Karla Bahia (Ríe, A Vida Rara), Darren Cumberbatch (Open Your Eyes), and other artists collaborating such as Julio Briceño and Armando Figueredo (Entre tus Brazos, Ríe) from funky Venezuelan band Los Amigos Invisibles, amongst others.
