DJ iZem ignites the dancefloors with a raw fusion of urban music mixing the infectious rumba of the sound-systems made in Congo, the psychedelic rhythms of Moroccan trance, a cutting edge spirit of the London bass culture, afro percussions from North-East Brazil, ecstatic Balkan brass and sensual Cumbia swings. Musical tastemaker with a worldwide following, he is the co-founder of Radio Groovalizacion on which he co-host the weekly programme “Dublin Tropical”. He has lived and performed as a DJ and musician in France, Spain, Brazil, Argentina, the UK, Ireland and Morocco. DJ iZem has shared the bill with artists such as Balkan Beat Box, Uproot Andy, Bomba Estéreo, Fauna, El Remolon, Chocquibtown, Toy Selectah… He has played in many festivals including Lovebox, Electric Picnic, the Festival of World Cultures and is a regular of the Dublin, London and Paris club scene spinning at the Notting Hill Arts Club, Passing Clouds, Camino, Twisted Pepper, POD or le Dansoir...

The French globetrotter has been on a meteoric rise over the past year or so, setting dancefloors on fire from Berlin to Lisbon and making a name for himself for his cutting edge productions. iZem started writing music during a 7 year-long musical adventure through Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Ireland and Portugal. iZem's unique hybrid sound joins the dots between cutting-edge beatmaking and post-tropical influences. His first EP, released in 2011, featured Brazilian and Irish vocalists and was heavily played by radios and DJ's around the globe: BBC's Gilles Peterson and KCRW's Anthony Valadez are some of his early supporters. His second EP was released in January 2013 followed by a series of remixes for labels like Soundway, Far Out, Agogo, ZZK records, Wah Wah 45's, Mais Um Discos which brought regular airplay on BBC, KCRW, Funkhaus Europa, LDBK and many radio stations worldwide. iZem performs regular DJ sets all around Europe and in Latin America showcasing his own future tropical beats laced with organic global grooves and bass music. He also hosts a bi-weekly radio show on Groovalizacion and Le Mellotron.?
