Wara UK Tour 2013

Wara, the young revolutionaries of the UK's Latin music scene, will be breaking ground this spring on their 2013 UK Tour, presented by La Linea supported by the Arts Council of England. The tour follows hot on the heels of their new genre-defying album "Leave to Remain", effortlessly combining Cuba's most danceable rhythms and styles – Timba, Salsa, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba - with contemporary urban elements such as Reggae, Soul, Hip-Hop and Jazz. The nine piece band of musical virtuosos have been packing dancefloors and starting parties on the global scene for the last three years (including Glastonbury, The Big Chill Festival, Secret Garden Party, Barbican's Blaze Festival, The Roundhouse, Ronnie Scott's to name a few). It's time to take the hot Cuban-UK soundclash on the road. The Wara Tour 2013 will bring the Wara live experience to prestigious venues nationwide and demonstrate why Wara are being hailed as musical revolutionaries by audiences and critics alike.

La Linea is The London Latin Music Festival which takes place in venues across Central London each April. Founded in 2001 the festival is a twenty first century presentation of all that is best and current in contemporary Latin music. In recent years, with assistance from Arts Council of England National Lottery funds the festival has sought to spread the sound to Latin Lovers around the UK. La Linea is proud to present Wara's first tour in association with Movimientos.

Waykiki Boys + Camo Clave + Los Gusanos

Movimientos are back at the Hoot with a tropical feast for the senses! Paris-based band Waykiki Boys will be bringing their unique mix of Peruvian cumbia, electro and surf music to South London fresh off the back of the release of their latest EP. Alongside them, also with newly released tunes, Camo Clave return to Hootananny with their 21st century tropical party, as traditional Latin American rhythms meet modern day electronics. Los Gusanos’ hard-swinging Latin jazz & blues is sure to get the whole room grooving, and of course Movimientos DJs will be on hand to keep the party going before and after with an eclectic mix of Latin and tropical beats!
